## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^WAS LANDING ON HIS PRIVATE GRASS RUNWAY. DURING THE GROUND ROLL OUT, BEFORE THE TAILWHEEL HAD TOUCHED DOWN, THE AIRCRAFT NOSED OVER STRIKING AND BREAKING BOTH BLADES OF THE WOODEN PROPELLER AND BENDING THE LEFT LOWER COWLING INWARD. THE AIRCRAFT THEN CAME DOWN ON THE TAILWHEEL AND STOPPED. THE ENGINE MOUNT AND FIREWALL WERE UNDAMAGED AND SHOWED NO EVIDENCE OF IMPACT. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT SUDDENLY SLOWED PRIOR TO THE PROPELLER STRIKE.

THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT DURING THE POST INCIDENT RECOVERY OF THE AIRCRAFT THE LEFT LANDING GEAR LEG TUBE WAS LOOSE WHERE IT CONNECTED TO THE FUSELAGE. UPON INSPECTION THE LEG WAS BROKEN INSIDE THE FUSELAGE GEAR MOUNT.
