## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N914GM DEPARTED AND LANDED SUCCESSFULLY AT KMYF. THE PILOT WENT THROUGH THE NORMAL SAFETY CHECK LIST PRIOR TO DEPARTURE AT KMYF WHICH INCLUDED VERIFYING THE REAR DOOR IS CLOSED BY PHYSICALLY TURNING HIS HEAD TO VIEW THE REAR DOOR HANDLE WAS LATCHED AND NO CAS MESSAGES WERE ON THE PFD. HE WAS CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF ON RUNWAY 28R. AS HE PROCEEDED DOWN THE RUNWAY APPROX 40KTS I HEARD A LOT OF UNUSUAL NOISE SO HE ABORTED THE TAKE OFF. AS HE PROCEEDED OFF THE RUNWAY HE NOTICED THE REAR DOOR WAS OPEN. THE PILOT THEN PROCEEDED BACK TO THE RUN UP AREA AT WHICH TIME HE NOTICED THE REAR DOOR WAS MISSING AND NOT JUST OPENED. THEN THE PILOT CONTACTED MONTGOMERY TOWER TO ALERT THEM THERE MAY BE DEBRIS ON THE RUNWAY DUE TO THE MISSING DOOR. THEN PROCEEDED BACK TO THE TRANSIT AREA AT WHICH TIME AIRPORT OFFICIALS DELIVERED THE DAMAGED REAR DOOR TO THE PILOT. TOOK DETAILED PICTURES AND VIDEO OF THE DAMAGED PARTS AND HINGE ASSEMBLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
