## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 2, 2016, A MOONEY 20F, US REGISTRATION N4015N WAS ENROUTE AT APPROXIMATELY 7500 FEET AGL WHEN THE ENGINE FROZE UP AND STOPPED PRODUCING POWER. AIRCRAFT LANDED IN A FIELD APPROXIMATELY 5 MILES NORTHEAST OF MATHAIRE FIELD AIRPORT (WI97). THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AS A RESULT OF THE OFF-FIELD LANDING AND NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT OR TWO PASSENGERS. VISUAL METEROLIGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
