## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2016, THE PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC) OF N58986, A BOEING STEARMAN, WAS INVOLVED IN AN AIRCRAFT INCIDENT AT DUPAGE AIRPORT (KDPA), IN WEST CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.

THE PIC, WHO WAS PARTICIPATING IN AN AIR TOUR OPERATION, WAS TAXING N58986 TO THE RAMP WHEN HE INADVERTENTLY STRUCK AN AIRCRAFT THAT WAS STATIONARY. N58986 SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER, AND JAVELIN.

THE PIC WAS OPERATING AS AN AIR TOUR OPERATOR WITHOUT A CURRENT SECOND CLASS MEDICAL. A NEW SECOND CLASS MEDICAL WAS ISSUED TO THE AIRMAN ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2016. NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED BY THE PILOT OR PASSENGER OF THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
