## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT DEPARTED KDEW IN N567AK WITH ONE PASSENGER ON A PLEASURE FLIGHT TO UPPER PRIEST LAKE. THE PILOT RAISED THE GEAR AFTER TAKEOFF AND VERIFIED THAT THE GEAR WERE UP FOR A WATER LANDING. AS THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN ON THE WATER, THE LEFT FLOAT IMMEDIATELY "CAUGHT" AND THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED OVER ONTO ITS BACK. BOTH THE PILOT AND THE PASSENGER WERE ABLE TO SELF EVACUATE AND WERE RESCUED BY BOATERS.
