## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 3, 2016 N14KB A CIRRUS SR-22 WAS LANDING ON RUNWAY 21 AT DANE COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT (KMSN) MADISON, WI. UPON LANDING ROLLOUT THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK AN ARRESTING CABLE THAT WAS NOT RETRACTED. THE ARRESTING CABLE WAS DEPLOYED FOR 2 F-16 DEPARTURES ON RUNWAY 03 JUST PRIOR TO N14KB LANDING ON RUNWAY 21. THE IMPACT CREATED MINOR NOSE FAIRING DAMAGE. THE FLIGHT WAS OPERATING UNDER 14 CFR 91 AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
