## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

STUDENT PILOT AND CFI WERE RETURNING FROM A CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT ON 10/10/16. DURING TAXI OPERATIONS IT WAS NOTED THAT THE TAXIWAY LIGHTING WAS NOT WORKING. THE LANDING LIGHT WORKED DURING AIRCRAFT OPERATION IN DURANT, OK., BUT WAS NOT OPERATING WHEN THEY ARRIVED IN GVL. DURING THE TAXI OPERATION THEY INADVERTANTLY IMPACTED AIRPORT SIGNAGE. WORK LIGHTS AT A HANGAR FURTHER IMPAIRED THEIR NIGHT VISION. THERE WERE NO INJURIES, AND THE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS A DENTED INTAKE COWLING, AND A PROP STRIKE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
