## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE ATTEMPTING A TAKE-OFF ON RWY 17R, THE PILOT ABORTED THE TAKEOFF AFTER EXPERIENCING A BLOWN LEFT MAIN TIRE. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY.

UPON INSPECTION OF THE TIRE THE DAMAGE NOTED IS INDICATIVE TO LANDING WITH THE BRAKES ON. APPARENTLY, A PREVIOUS RENTER HAD DAMAGED THE TIRE, AND IT WAS NOT DISCOVERED DURING SUBSEQUENT PRE-FLIGHTS. THE AIRCRAFT INVOLVED IN THE INCIDENT HAS WHEEL PANTS.
