## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE SUBJECT AIRCRAFT/OWNER WAS ATTEMPTING A LANDING ON RUNWAY 18 AT THE HEFNER-EASLEY AIRPORT. TWO WITNESSES REPORTED THAT UPON HEARING THE RADIO CALL ON FINAL, OBSERVED THE AIRCRAFT ON WHAT THEY DESCRIBED AS ?COMING DOWN FINAL IN STEPS AND NOT A STABILIZED APPROACH?. THEY ALSO STATED THAT IT APPEARED TO BE VERY ?ROUGH AND GUSTY? THEN HEARD THE TIRES AT THE FIRST TOUCHDOWN AND THEN A SECOND TIME. THE AIRCRAFT WENT OUT OF THEIR VIEW DUE TO THE RUNWAY RISE, BUT HEARD THE SOUNDS OF ?HOLLOW METALLIC IMPACTS?. THE WITNESSES RAN OVER TO THE AIRCRAFT THAT HAD COME TO REST FACING EASTERLY IN A TREE LINE OF CEDARS AND CALLED 911. UPON REACHING THE AIRCRAFT, THE PILOT AND HIS PASSENGER HAD EXITED THE AIRCRAFT AND WERE UNINJURED.

THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT THEY HAD DEPARTED? KBBG BRANSON FLIGHT -FOLLOWING VFR, GPS-DIRECT TO H68, WAGONER, OKLAHOMA. CROSSWIND IN ROUTE WAS APPROXIMATELY 24 KNOTS ALTITUDE 6,500. WE WERE HANDED OFF TO TULSA APPROACH AND THEN RELEASED VFR 1200. WE WERE ON FINAL, FULL FLAPS, 80 KNOTS ON TOUCH DOWN 18 CENTER LINE WHEN WE EXPERIENCED WIND SHEAR OR MICRO-BURST PUSHING THE AIRCRAFT AWAY FROM THE CENTER LINE NON-CORRECTABLE OFF THE RUNWAY PARALLEL WHERE WE ENCOUNTER TALL UNCUT GRASS WITH THE LEFT WING HITTING SMALL CEDAR TREE THAT MANAGED TO GET INTO THE OUTER 1/3 OF THE WING CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO ROTATE 90 DEGREES INTO THE BRUSH COMING TO A STOP?.

NO INJURIES, NO POST IMPACT FIRE ENSUED. THE AIRCRAFT HAD SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING / SPAR AND LOWER NOSE, THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR HAD COLLAPSED AND MINOR BUCKLING OF THE EMPENNAGE WAS NOTED. FUEL TANKS WERE FOUND TO BE NEAR FULL.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
