## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N49772, CESSNA 152, WAS IN RIGHT-CLOSED TRAFFIC FOR RUNWAY 03 AND CLEARED FOR A TOUCH AND GO. AFTER TURNING BASE THE PILOT ADVISED THAT HE LOST POWER AND WOULD HAVE TO LAND SHORT OF THE RUNWAY NEAR THE LAKE. NO FURTHER COMMUNICATION WAS MADE WITH N49772. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SHORT OF THE RUNWAY IN THE LAKE. EMERGENCY VEHICLES RESPONDED AND THE PILOT WAS EXTRACTED FROM THE AIRPLANE. THE PILOT WAS UN-INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
