## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCT 30TH AT APPROXIMATELY 1630 L A QUARTER MILE NORTH OF COX-GRANTHAM AIRFIELD ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ GYROCOPTER HAD COMPLETE ENGINE FAILURE DURING WHILE FLYING APPROXIMATELY 1200 FEET AGL. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ AUTO-ROTATED THE GYROCOPTER TO A NEARBY CORNFIELD. THE AFT LANDING GEAR CONTACTED THE GROUND FIRST; WHEN THE NOSE LANDING GEAR CONTACTED THE GROUND IT SEPARATED FROM THE GYROPLANE CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO ROLL TO ITS RIGHT SIDE AND THE MAIN ROTOR TO CONTACT THE GROUND. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ EXITED THE GYROPLANE WITHOUT INJURY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
