## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE FOLLOWING IS THE WRITTEN STATEMENT FROM THE PILOT: "ON APPROACH TO 34L (AT APPROXIMATELY 65 KTS), I MADE A LATE DECISION TO EXECUTE A "GO AROUND." A CROSS WIND THREW ME OFF COURSE AND I PANICKED AND LET OUT THE RUDDER WHICH MADE THE PLANE VEER FURTHER OFF COURSE DUE TO FULL POWER AND LOW SPEED. I PULLED POWER BRIEFLY AND DECIDED TO REAPPLY POWER IN HOPES OF CLIMBING, BUT THE PLANE STALLED AND HIT GROUND. THE NOSE WHEEL STUCK IN A SECTION OF MUD AND FLIPPED. I PULLED MYSELF OUT AND SHUT-OFF THE FUEL AND MAGNETOS AND ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS".

THE INVESTIGATION INDICATED THAT WHILE THE AIRCRAFT WAS STILL AIRBORNE, THE LEFT WINGTIP SCRAPED THE RUNWAY SURFACE, AND THEN VEERED TO A 270 DEGREES HEADING FROM THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE TRAVELING OVER TAXIWAY A4. THE AIRCRAFT TRAVELED APPROXIMATELY 535 FEET WHILE AIRBORNE BEFORE STALLING. THE LEFT WINGTIP DIPPED DOWN AND SCRAPED THE GRASS AND THEN THE RIGHT WINGTIP DIPPED DOWN SCRAPING THE TAXI LANE. THE NOSE GEAR THEN IMPACTED THE GRASS AND WAS RIPPED FROM THE AIRCRAFT. THIS CAUSED THE NOSE TO DROP, SHEARING THE TWO BLADED PROPELLER AND PIVOTING ON THE NOSE CONE AND TRANSITIONING TO AN INVERTED ATTITUDE.
