## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 11/06/2016 AT AROUND 13:30 ON RUNWAY 27 AT THE NEWARK-HEATH AIRPORT (VTA) PRIVATE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS PERFORMING FULL STOP LANDINGS. ON HIS THIRD LANDING ATTEMPT HE WAS DESCENDING WITH FULL FLAPS, THE POWER SETTING WAS JUST ABOVE IDLE. HE SETTLED ONTO THE RUNWAY GENTLY WITHOUT PUTTING THE LANDING GEAR IN THE DOWN AND LOCKED POSITION. HE SKIDDED ROUGHLY DOWN THE CENTER LINE ENDING UP SLIGHTLY LEFT OF CENTER WITH A ROUGH HEADING OF 300 DEGREES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
