## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON LANDING ROLLOUT AT THE NINILCHIK MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, BRAKES WERE APPLIED, THE RIGHT BRAKE HAD NO BRAKING ACTION CAUSING A GROUND LOOP TO THE LEFT. RIGHT WING TIP AND HORIZONTAL STABILIZER IMPACTED THE GROUND ENOUGH TO BEND THE MAIN WING SPAR, AILERON, AND HORIZINTAL STABILIZER. RUNWAY WAS MOSTLY GRAVEL, A FEW ICE PATCHES BUT NOT IN THE AREA OF OPERATION. NO INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC17LA005](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC17LA005), Nov 12, 2016: Cessna A185 (N4918Q), Ninilchik, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: A loss of brake system fluid due to leaks in the o-rings, which resulted in asymmetrical braking and a subsequent loss of directional control during the landing roll.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
