## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON NOVEMBER 21, 2016 AT APPROXIMATELY 1345 LOCAL TIME, A STUDENT PILOT WAS INVOLVED IN AN AIRCRAFT INCIDENT DURING LANDING ROLLOUT ON RUNWAY 19L AT WICHITA DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER NATIONAL AIRPORT (ICT), WICHITA KANSAS. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNING FROM A LOCAL SOLO FLIGHT AND ENTERED A NORMAL TRAFFIC PATTERN FOR RUNWAY 19L AT ICT. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT THE TOUCH DOWN APPEARED TO BE NORMAL; ON CENTERLINE, NO POWER, NOSE UP ATTITUDE, FULL FLAPS, NO BRAKES WERE APPLIED. AFTER TOUCHDOWN THE AIRPLANE UNEXPECTEDLY VEERED TO THE LEFT. THE PILOT APPLIED RIGHT RUDDER TO CORRECT FOR THE LEFT DEVIATION AND THEN APPLIED FULL POWER TO START A GO-AROUND. THE AIRCRAFT THAN CAME BACK AROUND FOR A LANDING. UPON POST FLIGHT INSPECTION THE AIRCRAFT PROPELLER WAS DAMAGED AND THE AIRCRAFT COWLING HAD DAMAGE.

THE ONLY AIRMAN ON BOARD THE AIRCRAFT AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES; THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (VMC) PREVAILED WITH THE WINDS FROM A SOUTH EASTERLY DIRECTION AT NINE KNOTS. THERE WERE NO KNOWN MAINTENANCE IRREGULARITIES PRIOR TO THE FLIGHT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
