## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT OF MEDEVAC LOGISTICS 111 LOADED A PATIENT AT THE TRANSIENT RAMP OF THE ELKO REGIONAL AIRPORT (EKO) IN ELKO, NV AT 2025 PST. THE AIRPLANE STARTED AND TAXIED ONTO A PERMANENTLY CLOSED TAXIWAY IDENTIFIED BY STANDARD YELLOW CROSSES AND A BARRIER OF TAXI LIGHTS TO THE PARALLEL TAXI WAY. AS THE PILOT ENTERED THE CLOSED AREA HE RECOGNIZED THE MARKINGS AND BEGAN A 180 DEGREE TURN TO EXIT THE AREA. DURING THIS TIME THE RIGHT SIDE PROPELLER OF THE BE-200 STRUCK TWO SEPERATE TAXI WAY MARKING LIGHTS (BLUE LIGHTS ON YELLOW POSTS). THE AIRPLANE CONTINUED TO TAXI TO THE SOUTH FOR THE NEXT PERPENDICULAR TAXI WAY TO JOIN THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT THEN TOOK THE ACTIVE RUNWAY AND DEPARTED THE AIRPORT ENROUTE TO RENO-TAHOE (KRNO) WITH THE PASSENGER ON BOARD AND MEDICAL CREW OF A NURSE AND PARAMEDIC. THE OCCURENCE WAS OBSERVED BY A COMMERCIAL PILOT WHO KNEW THE ROUTE THE PLANE WAS FLYING. HE CONTACTED THE RENO AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER AND ADVISED THEM OF THE CONFIRMED DAMAGE TO THE TAXI WAY LIGHTS AND RECOMMENDED THE PILOT INSPECT THE AIRCRAFT FOR DAMAGE. THE RENO ATC INFORMED THE PILOT OF N111PV WHEN HE CHECKED IN TO INSPECT HIS AIRCRAFT FOR POTENTIAL DAMAGE.

THE PILOT IDENTIFIED DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT HAND PROP HE INFORMED HIS OPERATOR, BUT NOT ATC OR THE ROC. RENO FSO WAS INFORMED OF THE INCIDENT BY RENO ATC OFFICE THE FOLLOWING MORNING.
