## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT MADE A HARD LANDING ON RUNWAY 31 AT XVG, TOUCHING DOWN ON THE NOSE GEAR FIRST, CAUSING THE NOSE GEAR FORK ASSEMBLY TO BREAK AND DEPART THE AIRCRAFT. AIRCRAFT BOUNCED AND CAME TO A STOP AT AN APPROXIMATE 220 DEGREE HEADING JUST OFF THE SOUTHWEST EDGE OF THE RUNWAY NEAR TAXIWAY A WITH THE NOSE GEAR AND RIGHT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN17LA059](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN17LA059), Dec 20, 2016: Cessna 210 (N80RB), Longville, MN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The in-flight encounter with wind shear and gusting wind conditions, which resulted in a bounced landing and runway excursion.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
