## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

FREIGHT RUNNERS EMB-120 N124HL WAS REPOSITIONING PART 91 FROM KEVV TO KMKE ON 12/22/16. WHILE CLIMBING THROUGH 15,000 FT MSL, THE RIGHT ENGINE ROLLED BACK TO 40-50% TORQUE WITH PLA IN CLIMB POSITION. PIC ATTEMPTED DIAGNOSTICS, BUT TORQUE CONTINUED TO DECREASE. CREW PERFORMED PRECAUTIONARY ENGINE SHUTDOWN, DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND DIVERTED TO KHUF. PIC RELATES THAT #2 HME HAD BEEN SERVICED WITHIN THE PREVIOUS WEEK. MAINTENANCE CREWS AT KHUF WERE IN CONTACT WITH PRATT AND WHITNEY ENGINEERS. THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. AIRCRAFT WAS SIGNED OFF AND FLEW BACK TO KMKE UNEVENTFULLY. INVESTIGATION CONTINUES. THIS INCIDENT WAS SELF-REPORTED BY THE CARRIER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
