As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

SHORTLY BEFORE TURNING FINAL THE ENGINE SLOWLY POWERED BACK TO IDLE. MAINTENANCE STAFF INVESTIGATED AND FOUND THAT THE CONTROL CABLE HAD BECOME DISCONNECTED AT THE ENGINE. A COTTER PIN HAD FAILED AND WORKED ITS WAY FREE CAUSING THE THROTTLE CABLE TO BECOME DISCONNECTED.

- [Accident 20120627013449A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/20120627013449A), Jun 27, 2012: Piper PA-32-301 (N8470Y), King Salmon, AK, Substantial damage. While aircraft was enroute between eii and akn, right wing was struck by bird. Aircraft landed (akn) without incident.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
