## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 4, 2017, N198GA STRUCK A RUNWAY LIGHT WITH THE RIGHT PROPELLER BRAKING. THIS RESULTED IN A 5 INCH PIECE BEING BROKEN OFF OF ONE PROPELLER BLADE.

THE PIC STATED THAT UPON LANDING ON RUNWAY 22 HE HAD DIFFICULTY SLOWING THE AIRCRAFT. HE STATED THAT THE RUNWAY HAD BEEN PLOWED BUT BRAKING ACTION WAS POOR SO HE DID NOT USE THE BREAKS. HE INSTEAD DECIDED TO PUT THE PROPELLERS INTO BETA AND REVERSE BUT HE WAS UNABLE TO STOP BEFORE STRIKING THE RUNWAY LIGHT AT TH END OF THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
