## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

MECHANIC STATED THAT HE WAS TAXIING THE AIRCRAFT TO THE CUSTOMER'S HANGAR (1.1 MILES DISTANCE) AFTER MAINTENANCE WAS COMPLETED. TAXI WAY WAS COVERED IN ICE AND PACKED SNOW. MECHANIC STATED THAT HE WAS PROBABLY TAXIING TOO FAST WHEN AIRCRAFT DRIFTED TOWARDS THE LEFT SIDE OF THE TAXIWAY. THE MECHANIC REDUCED POWER AND APPLIED COUNTER RIGHT RUDDER WHICH HAD NO EFFECT. AIRCRAFT GROUND LOOPED TO THE LEFT AND CAME TO A REST FACING LEFT PERPENDICULAR TO THE TAXIWAY AGAINST A SNOW BANK. THE RIGHT WING TIP STRUCK AN ADJACENT PARKED AIRCRAFT ON THE LOWER LEFT ENGINE COWL AND THE PROPELLER. INCIDENT AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE LEADING EDGE OF THE RIGHT WING NEAR THE TIP. A COWORKER BEHIND THE TAXIING AIRCRAFT, WITNESSED THE INCIDENT AND STATED THAT HIS SPEED WAS APPROXIMATELY 10-15 MPH WHILE FOLLOWING THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
