## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE FOLLOWING IS A STATEMENT GIVEN BY THE OPERATOR OF THE AIRCRAFT:

I DO NOT REMEMBER THE DATE OR TIME OF THE INCIDENT. I WAS DOING PRACTICE TOUCH AND GOES ON LAKE LUCILLE IN WASILLA ALASKA. I VERIFIED THE WIND FROM WASILLA AIRPORT BEFORE FLYING, IT WAS CALM. ON MY THIRD TOUCH AND GO, SHORTLY AFTER LANDING DURING THE ROLL OUT, THE PLANE LEANED HARD LEFT AND TURNED WHILE COMING TO A STOP. I SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE AND VERIFIED FUEL AND ELECTRICAL WAS SHUT OFF. I CLIMBED OUT OF THE PLANE AND INVESTIGATED WHAT HAD HAPPENED. THE LEFT LANDING GEAR SHOCK STRUT (ROD THAT GOES FROM THE AXLE TO THE CABANE, HOUSING THE BUNGEE SUSPENSION) BROKE WHICH ALLOWED THE AXLE TO GO UNDER THE FUSELAGE. THE SHOCK STRUT WAS BROKE AND THE LANDING GEAR WAS BENT UNDER THE FUSELAGE. THE FIBERGLASS PROP HIT THE GROUND AND BROKE. THE LANDING WAS A NORMAL LANDING WITH NO HARD IMPACT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS ON SKIS, STRAIGHT SKIS. THE SNOW DEPTH WAS 8-10 INCHES. NO INJURIES.

I AM HAVING STRONGER GEAR MADE FOR BOTH SIDES. I AM CURRENTLY TAKING PROFESSIONAL PILOTING AT UAA, INVOLVING CLASSES IN INSTRUMENT FLYING, AVIATION SAFETY AND AERODYNAMICS. I HAVE 240-250 TOTAL HOURS, AROUND 25 HOURS ON THIS PLANE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
