## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

JANUARY 28,2017 AT 20:33 EST-

AIRMAN ^BUSCA^ WAS PIC OF AIRCRAFT N523GB. WHILE ON FINAL APPROACH TO KHPN AIRPORT, AIRMAN ^BUSCA'S^ AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE TOPS OF TREES LOCATED NEAR THE END OF RUNWAY 29. AIRMAN ^BUSCA^ DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND PERFORMED A GO-AROUND FOLLOWED BY A NORMAL LANDING ON RUNWAY 34. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY AND TAXIED OFF THE RUNWAY AND TAXIWAY SAFELY. THE AIRCRAFT SUFFERED MINOR DAMAGE. THE PILOT SUFFERED NO INJURIES. NO PASSENGERS WERE ONBOARD.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
