## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT IN COMMAND OF C172RG (N6392V) STATED HE WAS TAXING ON THE CENTERLINE MARKING (SECOND TAXIWAY ALLEY FROM THE SOUTH) IN THE WEST TIE DOWN AREA AFTER COMPLETING AN INSTRUCTIONAL PART 141 FLIGHT (CFI ON BOARD) AND STRUCK A PARKED AND SECURED CESSNA 172S AIRCRAFT (N540CF). IT COULD NOT BE VERIFIED IF THE PILOT IN COMMAND WAS IN FACT TAXING ON THE CENTERLINE MARKING DUE TO A LACK OF SUFFICIENT VIDEO SURVEILLENCE. THE LEADING EDGE OF THE LEFT WING OF N6392V CAME IN CONTACT WITH THE PROPELLER OF N540CF (N540CF ENGINE WAS NOT OPERATING AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS TIED DOWN, UNOCCUPIED).

## Other aircraft in the event

- N540CF, Cessna 172S: no report for this aircraft; [N540CF](https://openairdocs.org/aircraft/N540CF) is registered now

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
