## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT REPORTED ENGINE PROBLEMS TO ATC AND WAS CLEARED TO LAND AT BPT AIRPORT. PILOT STATED ABOUT 4 MILES FROM THE RUNWAY ENGINE QUIT MAKING POWER. ATC CLEARED PILOT TO LAND ON RUNWAY 12. PILOT COULD SEE RESIDENTIAL HOMES ON APPROACH AND DID NOT FEEL HE COULD CLEAR THEM. HE TOLD TOWER HE WAS VEERING LEFT TO RUNWAY 34. PILOT STATED AT THIS POINT ALL POWER WAS GONE, HE FLOATED OVER A FENCE AND LANDED IN A COW PASTURE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
