## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON FEBRUARY 19, 2017, AT 1430 CST, A PARACHUTIST MADE A PERSONNAL JUMP FROM AIRCRAFT N8310Z. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME. HE DEPLOYED HIS MAIN PARACHUTE BUT IT DID NOT OPEN CORRECTLY. IT IS ESTIMATED HE DID NOT RELEASE THE MAIN CHUTE AND OPEN THE RESERVE CHUTE UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 1000' ABOVE GROUND. THE INDIVIDUAL LANDED IN A SMALL POND ADJACENT TO THE AIRPORT AND DROWN. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT CANTREL FIELD, CONWAY, AR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
