## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS FLYING AN APPROACH TO RUNWAY 4L EXPECTING TO CIRCLE TO LAND. VISIBILITY AND CEILING WENT BELOW CIRCLING MINIMUMS AND ATC ASKED IF RUNWAY 4L WAS ACCEPTABLE. PILOT CONSIDERED WINDS (310\12G20)AND DECIDED TO LAND 4L USING THE RNAV LPV APPROACH. AIRCRAFT HAD ACCUMULATED SOME ICE DURING FLIGHT SO PILOT DECIDED TO ADD 5 TO 10 KNOTS OF AIRSPEED TO HIS NORMAL APPROACH SPEED. PILOT STATED THAT HE BROKE OUT AT MINIMUMS, TOUCHED DOWN BEFORE THE RUNWAY INTERSECTION (HALFWAY) AND FOUND BRAKING ACTION NIL DUE TO SNOW COVERED ICE ON THE RUNWAY. PILOT WAS UNABLE TO STOP BEFORE THE RUNWAY END AND SKIDDED OFF IMPACTING THE RUNWAY END LIGHTS WITH BOTH PROPELLERS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
