## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 03/20/2017 AT 2330 THE AIRCRAFT N4271S LANDED ON RUNWAY 26 AT (L83) THIBODAUX MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. DURING LANDING ROLL-OUT AT APPROXIMATELY 30 KNOTS A DEER RAN OUT INTO THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO AVOID THE ANIMAL, BUT WAS UNABLE TO. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE DEER WITH THE PROPELLER AND THE NOSE AREA OF THE AIRCRAFT. AFTER STOPPAGE AND ENGINE SHUTDOWN THE PILOT INSPECTED THE AIRCRAFT AND FOUND MINIMAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED. THE AIRCRAFT AND DEER REMAINS WERE REMOVED FROM THE RUNWAY. WILDLIFE STRIKE REPORT SUBMITTED. AIRCRAFT IS CURRENTLY BEING INSPECTED FOR MAINTENANCE/REPAIRS NEEDED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
