## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS AIRCRAFT DEPARTED TO THE NORTH FROM A PRIVATE GRASS RUNWAY LOCATED ON THE PROPERTY OF THE AIRCRAFT OWNER. SHORTLY AFTER TAKE-OFF, THE PILOT NOTICED A LOSS OF POWER FROM THE ENGINE AND INITIATED A TURN TO THE SOUTH IN AN ATTEMPT TO RETURN TO THE AIRPORT. THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO LOSE POWER AND AS THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO PREPARE FOR LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT LOST AIRSPEED AND STALLED. THE AIRCRAFT HIT TREES APPROXIMATELY 330 FEET FROM THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND THE RIGHT WING SUBSEQUENTLY CONTACTED THE TERRAIN IN A NOSE DOWN ATTITUDE. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A REST APPROXIMATELY 240 FEET FROM THE END OF THE RUNWAY.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
