## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

INTERVIEWS REVEILED THE AIRPLANE WAS HAVING INTERMITTANT ELECTRICAL ISSUES. A DIFFERENT PERSON HAD TRIED TO USE THE AIRPLANE EARLIER, AND COULD NOT GET THE ENGINE STARTED. PILOT STATED:

-ENGINE WAS HARD TO START. "HAD TO TURN OFF BOOST PUMP AND STROBE TO REDUCE LOAD."

-ON FLIGHT FROM KHDC TO KPNS, "THE ASPEN WAS FLICKERING".

ON RETURN FLIGHT TO KHDC, STILL HAD INTERMITTANT ELECTRICAL ANOMOLIES. UPON REACHING KHDC, PILOT DECIDED TO DO SOME TOUCH AND GO'S. IMMEDIATELY AFTER FOURTH TOUCH AND GO, PILOT STATED HE "LOST POWER" AND DECIDED TO LAND STRAIGHT AHEAD. AIRPLANE LANDED ON RUNWAY AND WENT APPROXIMATELY 400 YARDS PAST THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND STOPPED IN MUD. PILOT STATED HE APPLIED FULL POWER TO TRY TO TURN BACK BUT AIRPLANE WAS STUCK IN MUD, SO HE SHUT DOWN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
