## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PIC STATED THAT WHEN HE LANDED AT SOUTH WEST END OF WIEN LAKE ON 1 APR 17, HE BEGAN TO TAXI DOWN THE GROOMED RUNWAY. STATED THAT HE MADE IT ABOUT 1100? WHEN HIS LEFT MAIN DIPPED INTO A HOLE UNDER SNOW CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO BE TURNED APPROX. 30 DEGREES TO THE LEFT. THE MOMENTUM CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO GO RIGHT WING DOWN STRIKING RIGHT WING TIP AND CAUSING PROP STRIKE ON TWO OF THE THREE BLADES OF THE PROP. PIC STATED HE DID DO A FLY OVER PRIOR TO LANDING AND THE LANDING SIGHT LOOKED GOOD. UPON PERFORMING A WALK FROM WHERE HE LANDED TO WHERE THE INCIDENT HAPPENED PIC DISCOVERED WHAT LOOKED LIKE A HOLE CAUSED BY THE TRACK OF AN ANIMAL, AND HAD FORMED A HOLE NOT DETECTABLE FROM THE AIR DURING THE FLY OVER. HE BELIEVES THIS IS WHERE HIS LEFT MAIN TIRE SLIPPED INTO HOLE CAUSING PLANE TO TAKE ACTION STATED ABOVE. PIC ALSO STATED HE HAD FILED A FLIGHT PLAN AND RECEIVED WEATHER BRIEF FROM FLIGHT SERVICE STATION. HE WAS IN CONTACT WITH PEOPLE AT WIEN LAKE WHO WERE ON THE GROUND AND SAID CONDITIONS WERE GOOD TO LAND HIS AIRCRAFT OUT THERE. HE MENTIONED HE HAD DONE THIS SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
