## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON APRIL 6, 2017, APPROXIMATELY 0856 CST, A 1978 CESSNA 182Q, REGISTRATION NUMBER N33KR, DEPARTED T-31 AERO COUNTRY AIRPORT, NORTH ON RUNWAY 35. AT APPROXIMATELY 2000 FEET AGL, ENGINE SUFFERED A CONTAINED FAILURE AND WAS UNABLE TO RETURN TO AIRPORT FOR LANDING. AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY ON NORTHBOUND ACCESS ROAD TO STATE HIGHWAY 121, BETWEEN CUSTER RD AND WEST EXCHANGE PARKWAY. NO FURTHER DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT WAS SUSTAINED AND THE ONLY OCCUPANT, PILOT, WAS NOT INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
