## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT REPORTED THAT ON APPROACH TO CONDUCT A LOW APPROACH OVER A PRIVATE FIELD IN BOWDOINHAM MAINE, HE SWITCHED FUEL TANKS, LEFT TO RIGHT, AND APPLIED CARBURATOR HEAT. HE STATED THAT WHEN HE BEGAN TO CLIMB, AND SHUT CARBURATOR HEAT OFF, THE ENGINE QUIT OVER THE WEST END OF THE RUNWAY AT ABOUT 150 FEET ALTITUDE. THE PILOT MADE A RIGHT TURN AND LANDED NORTHBOUND IN THE SOUTHBOUND LANE OF INTERSTATE 295. UPON INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT, FUEL WAS FOUND IN BOTH FUEL TANKS, THE FUEL SCREEN WAS REMOVED AND APPEARED CLEAN, AND FUEL IN THE BOWL APPEARED TO BE CLEAN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
