## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

UPON LANDING ON SLUSHY SNOW AT AN OFF-AIRPORT AREA IN THE BUSH, AIRCRAFT PROPELLER STRUCK A SNOW BERM AND ONE BLADE BROKE OFF AND SEPARATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT. AN ENGINE MOUNT WAS ALSO DAMAGED AS A RESULT OF THE PROPELLER STRIKE/SEPARATION. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT AN IMPROPER PROPELLER WAS INSTALLED ON THE AIRCRAFT. THE TYPE CERTIFICATE DATA SHEET (1A2) FOR THIS AIRCRAFT AND ENGINE COMBINATION SPECIFIES A PROPELLER DIAMETER OF NOT OVER 74 INCHES. THE PROPELLER INSTALLED HAD A DIAMETER OF 84 INCHES. ADDITIONAL FINDINGS FROM THE INVESTIGATION NOT CONTRIBUTING TO THE INCIDENT WILL RESULT IN AN ENFORCEMENT ACTION AGAINST THE PILOT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
