## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

STUDENT PILOT ON SOLO PRACTICE AREA FLIGHT WAS ATEMPTING HIS SECOND LANDING AFTER RETURNING TO THE AIRPORT. ON THE SECOND LANDING THE STUDENT PILOT WAS EXTENDED DOWNWIND AND CAUSED THE STUDENT TO BE HIGH ON HIS APPROACH TO THE RUNWAY. THE STUDENTS ATTEMPT TO SAVE THE APPROACH CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO COME IN AT A STEEPER THAN NORMAL DECENT AND THE STUDENT HIT HARD ON THE MAINS AT FIRST. ON THE SECOND AND FOLLOWING 3 BOUNCES THE NOSE WHEEL HIT FIRST. ON THE FINAL HIT THE NOSE WHEEL COLLAPSED AND THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED TO A REST STANDING ON THE LOWER LEFT OF THE NOSE BALANCED BY THE LEFT WING TIP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
