## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

INSTRUCTOR AND STUDENT PILOT WERE MAKING THEIR INITIAL TAKEOFF ON RUNWAY 28, INSTRUCTOR ADVISED STUDENT TO ADD POWER SLOWLY AND TAKE HIS TIME AS THE RUNWAY WAS PLENTY LONG. STUDENT PILOT ADDED FULL POWER. THE AIRCRAFT STARTED DRIFTING TOWARD THE LEFT AS THE AIRCRAFT ACCELERATED DOWN THE RUNWAY. THE STUDENT APPLIED SUDDEN AND FULL RIGHT RUDDER. THE INSTRUCTOR STATED THAT HE WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE AIRCRAFT FROM THE SUDDEN RIGHT TURN AND PREVENT THE AIRCRAFT FROM GROUND LOOPING. AIRCRAFT RECEIVED ONLY MINOR DAMAGE AS A RESULT. NEITHER PILOT RECEIVED ANY INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
