## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA17LA189](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA17LA189), May 24, 2017: Beech 58 (N9132S), Augusta, GA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to properly configure the airplane for landing. Contributing to the accident were the pilot’s fatigue and self-induced distractions.

- [Incident 19870813067909I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19870813067909I), Aug 13, 1987: Beech 58 (N9132S), Republic, WA, Minor damage. The aircraft landed wheels up due to failure of the landing gear actuation gear box.
