## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS LANDING AT HIS HOME AIRPORT AFTER A PLEASURE FLIGHT. HE TOUCHED DOWN ON THE NOSE GEAR FIRST CAUSING A PORPOISING ACTION. HE ELECTED TO GO AROUND. HE THEN HAD NO GREEN LIGHT ON THE NOSE GEAR. IT WAS VERIFIED BY GROUND OBSERVERS THAT HE HAD NO NOSE GEAR DOWN. HE ELECTED TO GO TO A DIFFERENT AIRPORT, CINCINNATI LUNKEN, TO LAND TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT. THE LANDING WAS SUCCESSFUL. THERE WAS NO NOSE LANDING GEAR ON THE AIRPLANE. IT WAS FOUND AT THE AIRPORT WHERE HE INITIALLY TOUCHED DOWN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
