## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT OF PIPER N6334P WAS MANEUVERING ON A CROWDED RAMP AS HE WAS TAXIING FOR TAKEOFF FOR A NIGHT FLIGHT. DURING THIS OPERATION THE PIPER AIRCRAFT COLLIDED WITH ANOTHER AIRCRAFT ON THE RAMP (CESSNA N734NU). THE COLLISION INVOLVED THE PROPELLER AND SPINNER OF THE PIPER HITTING THE LEFT WING AND FUSELAGE NEAR THE FIREWALL OF THE CESSNA.

THE PILOT STATED THAT THE BRAKES HAD FAILED BUT TO DATE THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF ANY MALFUNCTION WITH THE BRAKE SYSTEM. THERE WERE NO WITNESSES TO THE ACTUAL COLLISION BUT PEOPLE ARRIVING SHORTLY AFTER THE EVENT STATED THAT THE PILOT WAS TALKING ABOUT SOME CONFUSION THAT OCCURRED IN THE COCKPIT PRIOR TO THE COLLISION AS TO WHETHER THE BRAKES WERE WORKING CORRECTLY OR NOT DURING TAXI.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
