## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT THE GEAR DOWN INDICATION ON THE ACCIDENT AIRCRAFT TYPE IS DIFFERENT THAN ON THE AIRCRAFT TYPE HE HAS THE MOST EXPERIENCE IN. HIS TURBO 210 HAS A SINGLE GREEN GEAR DOWN LIGHT. UPON FINAL BEFORE LANDING CHECK, HE THOUGHT THE BELLANCA'S SINGLE GREEN FLAP DOWN LIGHT WAS THE GEAR DOWN LIGHT. HE SAID HE WAS COMPLACENT, AND JUST FORGOT TO LOWER THE GEAR, AND THAT IT WAS COMPLETELY HIS FAULT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
