## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRMAN JUST BOUGHT THIS AIRCRAFT (NEW TO HIM) AND FLEW FROM BIG BEAR (L35) TO SAN BERNARDIN0 (KSBD) TO PRACTICE TAKEOFFS AND LANDINGS AND A GUST OF WIND OR DOWNDRAFT CAUSED A VERY SHARP RIGHT BANK AND NOSEDOWN ATTITUDE. THE AIRCRAFT PROPELLER IMPACTED THE RUNWAY TWO TIMES AND LOST 4 INCHES OF ONE BLADE TIP. THE PILOT LANDED AND TAXIED TO PARKING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
