## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 7, 2017, THE PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC) OF N7024P, A PIPER PA-24-180 COMANCHE AIRCRAFT, DEPARTED QUAD CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KMLI) ON A STUDENT SOLO PATTERN ONLY TRAINING FLIGHT. THE PIC COMPLETED TWO PREVIOUS PATTERNS AND TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS ON RUNWAY 09 WITHOUT INCIDENT. ON THE THIRD PATTERN, THE PIC DID NOT LOWER THE LANDING GEAR AND DID NOT REALIZE HIS ERROR UNTIL JUST PRIOR TO TOUCHDOWN. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON THE CENTERLINE OF THE RUNWAY AND SKIDDED APPROXIMATELY 1000' AND DEPARTED THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED AND THERE WAS NO POST-CRASH FIRE. THE ONLY DAMAGE TO THE AIRFIELD WAS A BROKEN RUNWAY LIGHT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
