## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MONDAY, JUNE 12, 2017 APPROXIMATELY 1411 CST, SOUTHWEST AIRLINES CO. (SWAA) FLIGHT SWA1914 WITH SERVICE FROM CHICAGO MIDWAY AIRPORT (MDW) TO WINDSOR LOCKS BRADLEY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (BDL) ENCOUNTERED A #2 ENGINE FAILURE ON DEPARTURE CLIMBING THROUGH 2000FT. THE BOEING 737-7CT CARRYING 139 PASSENGERS DIVERTED TO CHICAGO O?HARE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WHERE IT SAFELY LANDED. PASSENGERS AND CREW MEMBERS MADE THE SAFE RETURN TO THE GATE, AND DISEMBARKED WITHOUT INJURY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
