## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N7TP APPROACHED HELIPAD EASTBOUND OVER WATER AND MADE 180 DEGREE PEDAL TURN TO FACE WEST PRIOR TO TOUCHDOWN ON SPOT 1. AS AIRCRAFT DECENDED TO TOUCHDOWN, THE TAIL ROTOR STRUCK THE PERIMETER FENCE. THIS WAS REPORTED BY ANOTHER HELICOPTER CREWMEMBER ON SPOT 2, BUT N7TP CREW DID NOT KNOW ANY CONTACT HAD BEEN MADE AND REPORTED FEELING NOTHING ABNORMAL. AIRCRAFT LANDED NORMALLY AND SHUT DOWN. INSPECTION OF AIRCRAFT REVEALED T/R TIP DAMAGE ON ALL BLADE ENDS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
