## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED THAT, DURING HIS TAKE OFF ROLL, HE BECAME DISTRACTED MOMENTARILY. THE AIRCRAFT'S LEFT WING TIP IMPACTED A SMALL TREE. THE PILOT ABORTED THE TAKE OFF, LOST CONTROL AND WENT INTO A DITCH. THE PILOT RECEIVED NO INJURIES, HOWEVER, THE AIRCRAFT HAD A BENT PROPELLER, AS WELL AS DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING LEADING EDGE AND WING TIP LENS. A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR IS THAT THE RUNWAY WIDTH IS APPROXIMATELY 25 FEET, COMPOSED OF COMPACT GRAVEL. WIND AND WEATHER WERE NOT A FACTOR. NTSB DETERMINED THE DAMAGE WAS MINIMAL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
