## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

A THRUSH S2R-G10 AGRICULTURE AIRCRAFT WAS CLIMBING OUT IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING A SPRAY PASS PREPARING TO ENTER THE NEXT PASS. DURING THE CLIMB OUT, THE ENGINE FAILED. PILOT IDENTIFIED A CLEARED FIELD OFF HIS LEFT WING AT .47 MILES AWAY AND ATTEMPTED TO REACH THE FIELD. PILOT LANDED SHORT OF THE FIELD AND LANDED IN AN OVERGROWN FIELD. THE IMPACT RESULTED IN THE MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSING AND THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTING THE GROUND. THE PILOT EGRESSED UNEVENTFULLY WITH NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
