## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

APPROXIMATELY 1900 HOURS ON JULY 4TH, 2017 DURING A SKYDIVING/PARACHUTE EVENT, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ TOGGLE/ STEERING HANDLE CAME LOOSE APPROXIMATELY 20 FT AGL. THE PARACHUTE COLLAPSED ON THE RIGHT SIDE CAUSING THE SKYDIVER TO HAVE A SEMI-UNCONTROLLED LANDING, IMPACTING THE GROUND AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. THE SKYDIVER RECEIVED SEVERAL BROKEN BONES (LEG & RIBS) ALONG WITH HEAD TRAUMA AND IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION AT THIS TIME.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
