## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

I INTERVIEWED ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ON 7/7/17 AT THE BERLIN AIRPORT. HE STATED THAT THE APPROACH SPEED FOR THIS AIRCRAFT WAS 80 MPH. HE FURTHER STATED THAT HE FLOATED INITIALLY ON HIS PLANNED WHEEL LANDING AND GOT SLOWER THAN NORMAL WITH A HIGHER ANGLE OF ATTACK THAN USUAL FOR A WHEEL LANDING. HE THEN STATED THAT HE THOUGHT THE AIRCRAFT?S LONGITUDINAL AXIS MAY HAVE BEEN ALIGNED SLIGHTLY LEFT OF THE AIRCRAFT TRACK ON THE INITIAL TOUCHDOWN. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATEMENT OF THE ENTIRE EVENT IS CONSISTENT WITH THE GROUND SCARS, AIRPORT FACILITY DAMAGE, AND AIRCRAFT DAMAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA17CA392](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA17CA392), Jul 5, 2017: Piper PA22 (N6936B), Berlin, NH, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control during the landing roll.

## Other reports on N6936B (1)

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
