## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

BIRD STRIKE APPROXIMATELY 150 FEET AGL ON SHORT FINAL TO RUNWAY 32 AT RDU. BIRD WAS MEDIUM TO LARGE SIZE BROWN HAWK. BIRD MADE CONTACT WITH THE LEFT WING JUST INSIDE OF THE STALL WARNING TABS. TWO SMALL DENTS NEAR LEADING EDGE OF WING.

REPAIR: INSPECTED LEFT WING FOR BIRD DAMAGE. FOUND 2 SMALL DENTS LEFT WING 1 INCH INSIDE INNER STALL VANE. DENTS MEASURE 1/2 INCH CIRCUMFERENCE AND .020 INCH DEEP. DENTS NEGLIGIBLE PER PA-44 -180 MAINTENANCE MANUAL CHAPTER 51-70-00. NO FURTHER REPAIRS NEEDED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
