## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOTS DEPARTED SOUTH VALLEY REGIONAL AIRPORT (KU42). THE AIRCRAFT CLIMBED AND REACHED FL058 15:41:28Z. THE AIRCRAFT REMAINED BETWEEN FL058 AND FL060 AT SPEEDS NEAR 100KTS UNTIL RADAR WAS LOST AT 15:47:20Z. TROOPER WATKINS, ALSO A PRIVATE PILOT, WHILE DRIVING ON THE CANYON ROAD OBSERVED THE AIRCRAFT WELL BELOW HIM AT AN ESTIMATED 200-300 FEET ABOVE THE TERRAIN AT NEARLY A 90 DEGREE ANGLE WITH THE NOSE DOWN AT A VERY SLOW AIRSPEED. THE AIRCRAFT STALLED, ENTERED A SPIN TO THE RIGHT, AND IMPACTED THE GROUND AT 7,352 FEET MSL, NEARLY 2,000 FEET BELOW THE RIDGE LINE AT AN ELEVATION OF 9,370 FEET.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

## Other reports on N211AM (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
